Tips - Searching for Images
If you have not been to the Jackson Hole and Yellowstone areas you might want to look at the Top Photographic Spots page to familiarize yourself with the geography.
Otherwise, the information below will assist you in finding the images you desire.
Browse by Category
Our stock is organized into categories based on photo subject and content. For example, a photo of a moose in a lake can be found under the category Wildlife:Moose because of the Moose subject; as well as Water:Lakes because of the lake content. The categories are organized in a hierarchy from broad to focused. If you are interested in moose, you would select the "Wildlife" main category then the "Moose" subcategory.
All category results can be filtered by geographic region and/or season.*
Search by Keyword
Searching by keywords is the best way to get a narrow selection of images. The keyword search criteria is NOT case sensitive, so you can use or not use capital letters as you wish. Type in keyword(s) (descriptive and/or conceptual, e.g., "cowboys", "fishing") to describe the type of image you are seeking.
If you type in two or more keywords, your search will return images that contain all the keywords (e.g., rapids rafting will return images with rapids AND rafting). You can use quotes to pair words into phrases (e.g., "Old Faithful" will return images of "Old Faithful" but not "Faithful old...").
If you use just one keyword, you are likely to get many images. Using more than one keyword will help to narrow your search.
You may use the AND, OR and NOT operators to create more focused searches. The search "bull AND moose" will return images containing both keywords BULL and MOOSE. The search "bull NOT moose" will return images that contain the keyword BULL while excluding images with the keyword MOOSE. The search "bull OR moose" will return all images with the keyword BULL as well as all images with the keyword MOOSE.

Find by Image ID #
If you know the image ID number of the photo you wish to view, type in the image ID number, change the search option from "keywords" to "image ID #" then click "Find".

All of our stock are given geographic and season designations to help you narrow your results. If you are looking for summer landscapes from Yellowstone National Park: from the main category list, click on the Landscapes category, select the Yellowstone National Park and Summer filters then click the "apply" button.
