Mark Gocke - Photographer

Photographer Mark Gocke realized a keen interest in wildlife at a young age and carried that out by receiving a B.S. in Wildlife Management at the University of Nebraska in 1990. Attracted by the great diversity of wildlife and recreational opportunities, Mark moved to Wyoming in 1991 as a Wildlife Habitat Biologist with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.

Mark’s interest in photography meshed well with his passion for wildlife and the two have continued to grow together. He now works as an Education Specialist with the Wyoming Game and Fish, and is able to incorporate his photography into his job.

"When you experience something wonderful, you naturally want to share it with others," says Mark. "Ultimately, I would like to foster in others a greater understanding and appreciation of our natural world that they might take steps to protect it. Photography can be a very powerful tool in achieving this."

Mark currently lives and plays in Jackson Hole with his wife and two children.
