| John Juracek - Photographer |
![]() After graduating from the University of Wyoming and working a short stint for the Wyoming Fish and Game Department as a research biologist, John moved up the road to West Yellowstone, Montana. He moved so that he could pursue his passion for fly-fishing full-time. For the last twenty years he has been involved as a partner in Blue Ribbon Flies, a specialty fly-fishing shop. Photography has been an interest of his ever since he was "forced" to carry a camera in his earliest days of guiding visiting fisherman on the Yellowstone area waters. Today, he specializes in fly-fishing photography- with angling landscapes being his particular favorite. John loves the variety of waters the Yellowstone area offers (especially those with geyser influences and interesting rocks), the natural landscape and the tremendously diverse light that the weather routinely provides in this area. His photographs have been seen in various magazines, calenders, catalogs and books relating to fly-fishing in the Yellowstone region.
