| John Layshock - Photographer |
![]() When John was 10 years old, his Mom taught him black & white photography. From that background he went on to be the yearbook and newspaper photographer for his high school in Bozeman, Montana. He continued his education at Northwest College in Wyoming. John knew in his heart that photography would be his profession, it was just difficult for him to decide in what to specialize. In the meantime, he worked for photo labs and learned how to snowboard. His first real photography job came on a cruise ship in Hawaii. While cruising in the Pacific it became obvious to him that he needed to pursue his passion in a location that inspired him as well. That area turned out to be Jackson Hole. For John, being a sports/recreational, wildlife and scenic photographer in Jackson Hole is perfect. He feels that being paid to be a photographer and getting his work published is a dream come true. His work has been published by Snowboarder Magazine, Transworld Publications, Burton Snowboards, K2 Snowboards, Sports Illustrated, Fridge Magazine, Rolling Stone and countless others.
